Photography Conference!

This are some photos from one of the live shoots we did at the Wedding Photography Society Conference this year! It was held at UNC at the Carolina Inn. This particular shoot was with a model who was working under the direction of Martha Manning. More to come!!

Puppy Love

Recently my photography guru, Cindy Brown, got a puppy. With a puppy this cute its hard NOT to take good pictures - and Cindy's pretty cute too!








And alright...I couldn't resist a puppy picture either....

Patterns!

My most recent photography assignment was to photograph patterns. Here are a few of my favorites!

I know, I'm a very bad blogger.

I know, I know. I'm a bad bad blogger. And if there's anyone left that looks at this occasionally, you'll be happy to hear that things have been going splendidly on the photography front! I've been going over to work with Cindy Brown a couple of times a week and had the good fortune of helping her with a wedding a few weekends ago. It was so much more intense than I had anticipated! I believe we were gone for a total of around 12 hours. WOW. I pretty much just prayed the entire time that I wouldn't mess anything up. There's not a lot of "do-overs" in weddings. But it was so much fun and I was terribly excited to see the photos when we were finished. And you know what? Some of mine turned out really good!! ALOT/most of Cindy's turned out really good, naturally. Ashley and Peyton

Oh my friends are good to let me practice on them. Recently I took some pictures of my friend Ashley who just had sweet little Peyton - isn't she precious? These are just a few of my favorites!

Internship!

Guess what!? I am lucky! I am the proud new intern for Cindy Brown of Cindy Brown Photo.

She is a fantastic photographer with an amazing resume and I can't wait to learn from her. I'm so grateful that she's will to teach me (I have A LOT to learn)and feel lucky to be able to watch her work her magic!

My beautiful friend Amy let me practice a photo shoot with her! I love the way the light and the grass look with her red hair in this picture. Practicing with Amy was challenging because....well, I guess because it was my first intentional attempt at a photo shoot. It was brief and impromptu, but we had a great time! I'm working with some of the other pictures we took on photoshop still (something else I'm trying to learn and know virtually nothing about - suggestions welcome!) but I'll post them as soon as I can!
