Good bye for now!

As my sweet Father-in-law pointed out to me yesterday, I haven't updated my blog in quite awhile. I realized some time ago that it no longer made a whole lot of sense to have a website, a blog and a Facebook page. Most, if not all of my clients are on Facebook and frankly, it's much easier to share photos on Facebook than to upload them to this here blog anyway. Plus, it really helps me get exposure for my business when people tag themselves and share my pictures, etc. (Now Facebook has it's downsides for photographers as well, but that's a whole other discussion).
So dear friends, until further notice, I'd encourage you to Like and Follow my Kara Johnson Photography Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/KaraJohnsonPhotography

Thanks for checking in! - Kara

I leave you with my favorite image of this season. Noah just couldn't quite figure out which smile would be most suitable....

Carter Family Photos

These sweet people are some of my absolute FAVORITE people in the entire world. I feel so lucky that I got to take family portraits with just a few of their many amazing family members.  Looking forward to doing this again in several years and seeing how everyone has changed!

Noah is 2!

Well, he's at it again. Noah is now 2 years old and just full of energy and overall adorableness. You may remember him from back in December . I can't believe how much he has grown since just a few months ago!

Noah loves this rabbit from the neighbor's house across the street! I love this pictures because Noah and the rabbit seem to be looking in the same direction!

Hello?

Dimples!

Portrait Season is here!

Spring is finally here! I had rescheduled with this sweet family twice already due to rain and cold, so we were all so happy to finally have a warm day to shoot family portraits once April arrived! Little Rooks and Jet were troopers, having suffered through Atlanta traffic, a change of clothes and then a late dinner - they still managed to give me some adorable smiles despite all of that! Looking forward to watching them grow even more in the coming years...

Age & Beauty

My sweet grandmother turned 80 years old last month! We had a small celebration with the family where we went out to eat and then got together for cake/ice cream/gifts at my brother & sister-in-law's house. Nana is a very spirited and beautiful 80 if I do say so myself - I'm so glad to have her in my life! Here are a few of my favorite photos from our celebration.

And here are a few funny ones of her enjoying a particularly amusing birthday card...

Trivedi Family Photo Shoot

I had a wonderful time taking photos of this great looking family a couple of weekends ago. It was one of those freeeeeeeezing cold days where we certainly could not take this little 2 month old outside! Aren't he and his brother just adorable? Those big brown eyes are so sweet! Big brother was feeling a little tired and wild himself this day, so what better book to read than "Where the Wild Things Are"!

Kate & Brian Plus One!

I had such a great time photographing Kate & Brian at their home. Such a great looking and fun couple - childhood sweethearts too! I can't wait to meet their little girl when she arrives next month!

Fall Photo Shoot with the Johnsons!

I have really been enjoying all of these outdoor photo shoots this fall! I had a great time at Piedmont Park with the Johnsons - little Kiely (who you may remember from Stone Mountain about this time last year) fed the ducks and played on the playground and is just about as cute as she can be! I'm looking forward to watching her grow into those big beautiful eyes!
