White Christmas in Georgia!

I cannot remember EVER having the pleasure of enjoying snow on Christmas day (at least not with it sticking on the ground) but this year it did! I know we are big babies in Georgia and we get all excited about a little snow and rush the grocery stores for bread and milk and then hole up in our homes to watch it fall...but is that really so bad? Nope, it's not, it's really great! We loved watching the snow fall this Christmas and here are a few photos that prove that it was both Christmas and snowy at the same time!

Christmas Preparation

Many people have certain foods that they eat around the Holidays that really get them in the spirit of things. For me, it's peanut butter balls, or as some people call them, buck-eyes. My mom made them every year when we were kids and now I make them, even though I am slightly allergic to peanuts! I just can't resist!

Nana!

My sweet grandmother! Nana is very camera shy most of the time, but she did let me snap this photo of her on Thanksgiving Day while she was perusing the sale advertisements. She's the coolest grandma around in my opinion, we even went to Las Vegas together last year!

Fall

Fall in Georgia has been very bashful this year. It was cold, then hot, then hot, the really really cold then really hot but now it seems that fall has finally started to settle in. Most of the leaves have changed and many have finally fallen. The raking of leaves into paper bags is a little sad to me - there are few things more satisfying that leaping into a pile of fresh leaves or riding your bike through them...but that's probably why people use bags!

Decatur Cemetery

The city of Decatur is having a seasonal photo competition (meaning they want photos of it from every season) of the old city cemetery. It is truly a beautiful and unique cemetery. But I had to throw in this cool caterpillar we found for fun!

Downtown Anniversary

This September we decided to celebrate our anniversary in style in downtown Atlanta at a fancy hotel. We just couldn't resist a good jump on the fancy bed! I love this picture of Andrew because I feel like it is the perfect depiction of his personality!

Summer or Fall?

It's hard to tell these days if its summer or fall! My summer flowers are finally all dying out though, after much weather confusion!

Lazy Turtle Farm Barn Day, Spring 2010

These are pictures from our dear friends Jen and Erin's farm in North Carolina: Lazy Turtle Farm. (The best farm in the world!) They had a Barn Day to raise money for a local non profit agency. Let me know what you think of some of the photos!
